Beautiful woman enjoying a massage therapy

Massage has long been known to have many benefits by bringing fresh blood and nutrients to muscles, skin and surrounding tissue.

It is my belief that a massage treatment should be deep enough to relieve tension to help ease aches and pain but also to be deeply relaxing.  I predominantly use NoHands techniques to achieve a deeply relaxing, yet very effective treatment but  also include combinations of remedial, deep tissue and holistic massage where necessary.

Gentlemen, this is a professional practice and any requests regarded as inappropriate will result in treatment being terminated immediately at full cost.

Full Body Massage

A full body massage aimed to relieve stiffness and tightness in the muscles to help with aches and pains caused by physical activities or stress.

A full body massage consists of a back, neck and shoulder massage, front and back of legs, front and back of arms, upper chest and neck, face and scalp.  An abdominal massage can be also be included to help with the symptoms of digestive issues if required.

Treatment time is for 60 minutes but can be extended to 75 or 90 minutes.   For the longer treatments, more time can be spent on face and scalp or can include a short reflexology treatment.

Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage

Concentrating on the back, neck & shoulders, this massage is ideal for helping ease tight shoulder muscles – very common with anyone spending lots of time sitting at a desk, or for anyone who generally deals with a lot of stress.

Loosening tight shoulder and neck muscles through massage, may also be beneficial for helping ease headaches.

Muscular aches and pain in the lower back, maybe due to gardening or physical work (such as with builders) can also be relieved through a back massage.

Pregnancy Massage

Back, neck & shoulder massages can be easily adjusted for pregnancy through comfortable positioning and for longer treatments, combining with Reflexology is highly recommend.

The Natural Way to Boost your Health & Well-being

Reflexology is one of the most popular complementary therapies in the UK and dates back thousands of years to Ancient Egypt, India and China.  It is based on the principal that there are reflex points on the feet that correspond to every gland, organ and part of the body.

By using a unique technique using thumbs and fingers on these reflex points, Reflexology is used to boost blood and nerve supply to all the glands, organs and parts of the body in order to improve functionality,  re-balance and in turn help the body to heal itself.  Using these techniques may also help to relax, improve moods, aid sleep, relieve stress and tension and improve the overall sense of wellbeing.

Reflexology is holistic and works on the body as a whole.   It is a complementary therapy that works alongside orthodox medicine.  Reflexologists do not diagnose or prescribe.

Reflexology for Fertility Issues

For some, the difficulties of conceiving or miscarriage can cause great pain and disappointment.

Reflexology may be useful in helping couples overcome these challenges by reducing stress and tension and encouraging the body to balance itself and achieve homeostasis.

When the body is in this balanced and relaxed state, the conditions for conception are optimal. Preferably, both partners should be included in pre-conception Reflexology. Both the sperm and ova need to be healthy in order to conceive and maintain a healthy pregnancy and Reflexology works to help balance the body to assist with this.

Reflexology is not recommended when a client is undergoing stimulation treatment such as Clomid. Reflexology is a natural treatment that aims to balance the body to produce a single ovum, which is contradictory to the drug therapy.

However outside of this time, Reflexology may help to improve the quality of both the ova and sperm to boost the chances of IVF being successful.  It can also be extremely helpful to have the extra relaxation time during the waiting period!

Reflexology is ideal after a miscarriage, as can help to provide comfort during this difficult time as well as encourage the body to re-balance and heal itself for future conception.

For all fertility or hormonal issues, a course of 6 weekly treatments is highly recommended in order to get the body back into balance as soon as possible.  A course of 6 x weekly treatments is available with a discount of 15% on the overall cost and is available to buy online here:

Reflexology during Pregnancy

Maternity Reflexology is a natural therapy aimed at women during pre-conception, pregnancy, labour and post-natal periods and works to help balance and support the body during this time of significant change.

Customising every session to each stage of the pregnancy, Reflexology may help to ease many common pregnancy-related issues such as sickness, backache, heartburn, swelling etc.

The aim of Reflexology treatments during pregnancy are to:

  • Maintain health and well-being
  • Help the mother to cope with her rapidly changing hormone levels
  • Encourage the efficient removal of bodily waste and to stabilise fluid levels
  • Maintain strength and support and keep joints supple
  • Promote growth and change
  • Maintain a feeling of calm

During pregnancy, it is not just the expectant mother who enjoys the relaxing approach of Reflexology, but also the unborn baby, who often becomes active during the treatment session.

Partners may also benefit from the relaxation benefits of Reflexology.

After the baby is born, new mothers may gain great benefit from Reflexology treatments, which again, aims to help with the physical and emotional changes that are occurring.

Maternity Massage is also available.

The costs for both Maternity Reflexology and Maternity Massage are exactly the same as for regular treatments.

Please note that treatment is only offered to those committed to regular sessions throughout their pregnancy. I no longer offer one-off treatments to those past 37 weeks of pregnancy.
